Wow. Do people REALLY think that this song is about patriotism? I always thought that it was about rockstars' promiscuity issues. My interpretation has always been something like: "I will never settle down (with one girl); if I ever said so, I was only 'going through a phaise' (and didn't really mean it); who/ which woman will 'make a man out of me?'; of course I've 'thought about' settling down, but come on!; you are no different than the others." How can people see it any differently?

I like Sloan. I saw them a couple of years ago with Jet. They were great and this is a great song.

The guitar player Patrick Pentlin is my dads best friend since he was a kid :P I've met his parents, and he sent me a box of Sloan merchandise! Like a tee shirt, cards, a few of their CD's etc XD
