Show some class Dawn. Whats with all the hating on Chic? Don't blame them for being nominated. Remember the disco record Chicago put out, Street Player? Admit it, after Terry Kath accidentally shot himself and their producer James William Guercio moved on, the group turn out some pretty MOR pop fluff. Bernard Rogers and Nile Edwards of Chic were talented writers, composers, producers, arrangers and with drummer Tony Thompson, excellent musicians as well. BTW, All 3 are dead so smile Dawn.

Terry Kath was an outstanding influence for the guitarist who followed him. This was the art music generation's spirit music. If you were there you were breathing it in and never wanting to exhale it.

I just read a list of Hall of Fame nominees for this year. Again, our guys are left out. But Chic with that disco crap was nominated. I keep hoping that there was a misprint and they just left off the "ago". What a crock of ****.

Carlos Santana must have wished he got a hold of this number first! Just perfect for his style, with Greg Rollie on vocals.

The full version of this opens with counterpoint between Cetera on bass, Seraphine on drums and Kath's guitar. It's a bit unkind on Pankow, Loughnane and Parazaider though! It's from a brilliant debut album, the only one where the group give full reign to their musical prowess on tracks like Poem 58 and Liberation, while Kath gets carried away on Free Form Guitar! having said that, I also love If You Leave Me Now!Terry Kath is criminally ignored when it comes to mentions of great guitarists.
