I recently discovered Jo and she is amazing. I have always enjoyed Ella too. I wish I was alive during "that" time. God's Blessings to Jo's family...xx

I just have to tell you how much I loved the work of your enormously talented mother, from her classic recordings of classic standards to her brilliant comedy work as Cinderella G. Stump and Darlene Edwards ... a great and irreplaceable talent.

Timeless piece, very entertaining. Superb performance, both Ella and Jo. Both are my favorite singers, along with Sarah Vaughan. These are talented singers and I doubt any artists nowadays can come close to this. It is a pleasure to watch. Thank you very much for posting.

thank you for 'sharing' your mother's amazing talent with the wide world...I have loved her ever since i found my parents 78s...the first that grabbed me was the incredible pairing of the hysterical 'I'm My Own Grandma' with the the sublime 'Haunted Heart' but the I found the others and came to realize that most of what I thought of as "40s music" was Jo Stafford. I later was lucky enough to hear some amazing interviews with her on the radio. She wasn't just talented (just!) she was brilliant.

A true master class in superb singing. Everything is in place--perfect timing, perfect intonation, perfect pronunciation, great feeling for the rhythm and the arc of the songs and total respect for the lyrics. Plus total intelligence. Two irreplaceable talents.

is jo really your mom? as a young boy growing up in the philippines i use to hear her beautiful voice from our neighbor's radio, but i didn't know who it was. i just knew that i loved hearing the song "i'll be seeing you"... 30 years later i found out who it was and bought a cd ! she has the most beautiful rendition of that song as well as "you belong to me" w/c still brings tears to my eyes. bless her !!!

So sorry for your loss. Jo Stafford's recording of "You Belong to Me" is one of my favorite recordings ever.Ignore the haters. GI Jo brought a lot of joy to a lot of people. In the face of that, people who seek only to tear down don't amount to much. You're mother doesn't deserve any crap, but anyone with a brain knows that. Don't let it bother you.It takes a ton of guts to duet with Ella, the finest singer I've ever heard. If you can even hold your own, as Jo does, you're a hell of a singer.

Hello all, this is Jo's daughter Amy. Thanks so much to most of you for our lovely comments. I loved watching this video and was there when they recorded it. Mom was truly a great singer, great lady, and a great Mom. To "azintp" You are an idiot and you are dead wrong. I knew Ella and I knew her relationship with my Mom. They adored one another. They were both quoted as saying that they were eachothers' favorite singer. Watch your mouth. Mom doesn't deserve this crap

I understand that thousands of random morons go on youtube & string words together. But how did you get on -this- page, moron? I mean, you and I both know that this isn't the clip you were originally looking for, so what happened?
