I saw him perform Moussorgski's Pitures at and Exhibition live about 25 years ago. I never forget the image of a young man wrapped around his guiter. Critics said it was too much about virtuosity only. Now I see this video and I see a very good performance, still a lot of virtuosity, but also much emotional depth in this performance. The critics remain, but of course for some it's hard to accept you'll never reach this level yourself. It's much easier to criticize then.

any guitarist in the world that either touch the guitar was due to the Andres Segovia, Andres Segovia pulled out because of the guitar bars and taverns to carry them concert halls and auditoriums, so any guitarist owes everything to segovia, have a lot of agility is the guitar has no comparison with what he did

the criticism that he moves too much is silly....every iota of focus he has is on the guitar. the rest is just his body's reaction to feeling it come through him.

I never said I didn't like it. i enjoy circus acts, thank you very much :)

I don't think he does it to make a circus act out of it or show off or anything.I think he does it because it's just natural for him to play like that.If playing guitar is something close to speaking words for him, he could be explained as a kind of person who uses body languages alot while he speaks. He lived his life with his guitar from the time he was very young. It could happen. If you don't like it you could always scroll down the page and enjoy the sound-only music.

I am not neither on of those things, I am sorry if it semmed that way. I should not even say anything like that ever again, because it is going to always be taken the wrong way. What I was trying to say was that I have seen so many performances of great Asian players and it only seems to me that they make a circus act out of it, meaning they move around a lot, shake, jump etc... Please do not take me as a racist person because certainly I am not one.

And you're prejudice and/or racist. Most prejudice and/or racist people tend to be xenophobic and generalize entire groups of people to help battle that insecurity they have inside.

He's Asian. Most Asians enjoy making a circus act out of everything, instead of just enjoying the true meaning of things.
