The two are intertwined and you're the only one here who seems to be unaware of it. Yes, I like this song and Richard Wagner in general,but Wagner had moments of extreme anti-semitism, likely adding another reason for Hitler to admire him and his work.

A man named Houston Stewart Chamberlain was the son-in-law of Wagner and he met with Hitler several times. When they met they discussed Wagner's plays. Hitler was delighted at these opportuinities. Hitler also took every chance he could to see Wagner performances at opera houses in Vienna. Hitler's friend Agust Kubizek wrote in his memoirs that Hitler would become so enthralled and enter virtual trance like states after seeing these plays. Hitler was, infact, a huge admirer of Wagner.

full metal jacket is a weak ass movie imo...like you said the only good part is the bootcamp part, its laughs all the way thru loli think the best vietnam movies are hamburger hill and we were soldiers...this one is pretty badass to...this whole scene is classic shit...
