people always complain about the esi series samplers.I've heard war stories,but i've never had a problem with my esi 2000.Only think i hate is that if you have a long sample it days to for it to get into the system.

Heh, I have an ESI-4000 and have a bunch of spare internal ZIP drives lying around for this very reason. My machine also developed a weird problem with locking up on startup - I traced it down to a chip inductor on the front left side of the board that develops cracks because of the flexing of the circuit board.
