I've see this phenomenon before, out side my house about 6 years ago now... It took be off guard at first. Very strange.The light seemed to be hundreds of feet in the air, but not touching the ground. Then I realized, by tracing them back to the ground it was coming from the street lights all over town. Must have been a bit of dust in the atmosphere along with a bit of moisture from the night. Very strange. I've never seen it again like that.

These are only optical artifacts from within the lens/mirror system of the night vision scope. They correlate precisely with the bright lights on the ground. Shut one of those lights off and the corresponding artifact directly above the extinguished light will disappear.What are you guys smoking btw?
