The name Hindustan, chants Jai Hind mainly refers to the fact that the earliest civilizations flurished in Indus valley. Its nothing do with the ONE religion of Hinduism. India for its great History is NOT just a country of Hindus or of ONE religion HINDUISM. Its been a confluence of many great world religions like Buddism, Jainism, Islam, Sikhism etc. One should be proud of India's diversity and secularity. A single religion's name shouldnt come here.

good, but theres a mistake, Jainism didnt evolve arnd 600 BC but only Bhuddism did. Jainism is an ancient religion like Hinduism which grew along side Hinduism in time and like Hinduism nobody knows when it started. Its disspointing that you were wrong on the history there..

there is a fine distinction between history and pre-history. this document fails to address. other than that, it's fine.

Wrong........ Chandragupta Maurya was actually captured by Alexander's General Selucus Nicetor. Chandragupata fled from his captor and then went on to defeat Nanda to found the Maurya dynasty. After Alexanders death, Selucus Nicator formed his kingdom in Bactria(Mordern Northern Afghanistan). Later, Chandragupta (Sandrokkatos for greeks) defeated Selucus Nicator, and married his daughter.
