Interview with Will.i.am about celeb-filled music Yes We Can

Song from Black Eyed Peas' will.i.am Inspired by Obama Speech.Celebrity-filled music videos have been used to support many social movements, from famine relief for Africa, to support for American farmers, to opposition to apartheid in South Africa. But rarely have celebrities and musicians banded together to create new music in the heat of a presidential campaign. The Black Eyed Peas' frontman, songwriter and producer known as will.i.am, along with director and filmmaker Jesse Dylan, son of another socially active musician, Bob Dylan, released a new song Friday that attempts to do just that. The music video "Yes We Can" premiered on ABCNewsNow's "What's the Buzz" on Friday. It was inspired, will.i.am told ABC's Alisha Davis, by Sen. Barack Obama's presidential campaign and in particular by the speech he has gave after the New Hampshire primary. The music video includes excerpts from the Obama speech and appearances from a range of celebrities including: Scarlett Johansson, John Legend, Herbie Hancock, Kate Walsh, Kareem Abdul Jabbar, Adam Rodriquez, Kelly Hu, Adam Rodriquez, Amber Valetta and Nick Cannon.

wow, Jesse sounds like his father, when he sings Lay, lady, Lay, at that time Bob had quite such voice. Does Jesse sing too? I'm a great Bob Dylan fan.

First off, what class you have, talking out of your ass really emphasizes that. Now what would be a motive for tons of celebrities to join in this video? If you honestly think money, than how ignorant are you. Obama doesn't have to be a full blooded african american, his physical appearance represents many races today, he doesn't have to be african american, its what he represents. Think before you speak

He should have done this video with common people who live in troubled areas, not a bunch of posh celebritys who's lives won't be affected either way. I'm glad he's behind Obama but he's doing it all wrong. Jesse should have known better his father is Bob Dylan!

Besides, how foolish can these "Idiotic Americans" be? The last time I checked, "Their Vote" didn't do shit. Can anybody say, "Election BUSH Fraud"? Give me a f... break. The rich for the rich should be a part of "America's" "National Anthem". Did anybody notice how WILL did not stutter when it came to answering on "HIS SUCCESS"? There was no hesitation on that. These "People" don't give a shit about nothing but "Themselves". And this is TRULY the "American Dream".

Will is totally full of shit. Just look at him. He does not even know what to say. Because he is (like I said before) just another "Media Puppet" pushing "America's Propaganda". And as for a "Odreama", There has not been a real "African American" leader since Malcolm "X". Can anybody say "UNCLETOM"? And this "Bullshit Video", it does not "Surprise" me that there are a whole group of "Celebrities/Rich Hypocrites" that support anything "The United Snakes" has put together. Because they all Profit$
