Torvill and Dean - icons What a magic moment - defined by perfection. This was one instance when the "fickle judges" voted correctly and didnt let some nationalism mar their decisions!

False expectations. Torvill and Dean were ICE DANCING pair. They do not jump, they are not allowed to jump. The discipline where they jump is calle PAIR SKATING. They have a different set of rules and they MUST jump.

Beautiful, the choreograph was fantastic, but there were no triple loops or throws which you can often seen in today's figure skating competition, did the technical standard raised so much within 20 years?
