Just make sure to get your fingers familiar with the music. Use the 1-1 Bb fingering. Don't forget about accidentals carrying over from first beat slurs. Left hand C naturals before Eb's, unless you have that key also on the left side. Keep both the C# and B# keys pressed when slurring between the two. Make sure to play the last two eighth notes after the trills as duple, not triple like in other measures. I'm sure you probably already know all this in all honesty... you'll do fine.

I don't think Sinfoniette was necessarily insulting the conductor or insinuating he/she could conduct it "better" at his/her preferred tempi. We should let people express their opinions without judging or asking people to prove something, especially if they're expressed in a docile fashion like Sinfoniette did. I particularly like the very beginning a little bit slower, too. We're all entitled to express our preferred interpretation of a piece of music.
