K5 Open Headers & Z71 Wheeling..and stuck
1987 Chevrolet Fullsize k5 Blazer with open headers first.Trail was mostly dried up so this was all i could do without getting SERIOUSLY stuck with no big rigs to pull me out. The k5 blazer wasnt wheeling today but he did pull me out twice..And he pulled out a friend who took his hyundai car around the back trail. As i was leaving i decided to pick a different rut and sunk it good. The k5 was spinning all 4s (sorry no video) and still barely got me out.Specs - 1998 Chevrolet Extended Cab Pickup K1500"The Z71" 350/5.7l vortec v8, 2 inch suspension lift, 285/75/16 nitto terragrapplers (all terrains).1987 Chevrolet Fullsize Blazer (k5)TBI 350/5.7 , 2 inch lift, 35x12.50x15 Kumho Mud Terrains.

No, I did go on some trips with Clemson Offroad though. I went to Tellico and Morris Mountain. I also went to Gulches with few guys off Wheelin Dixie.

Hey winslow! Did you make it to the Thump this year, or WD's trip? Im aiming for next year. Also about the transmission, make sure the vent tube is run up high as possible...that can and will let water in.

If you get water in your transmission from mudding, it will fuck it up. What gears and size tires do you have, stock gears and big tires will fuck up 46L0s pretty well also.

headers and exhaust manifolds take the exhaust from each cylinder and usually combine them into 1 big tube, the exception is when you see 8 tubes coming off a hotrod/monster truck engine they are still headers but they dont collect into one big pipe. The point of headers over stock exhaust manifolds is that they flow better(and sound better)... blow through a straw and see what I mean.

every time i took my siverado mudding about a week or two after the transmision started sliping and wouldnt go in third. so i bought a brand new one went muddin and it happened again. i cant figure it out whats causing it because i never gunned the motor and never spun it around or rolled backwards still in drive.
