Johnny Depp based some of his character on Keith Richards, he had the idea of them being Rock Stars.This is a great sword fight. :)

im glad he wasn't the traditional pirate, with the patch over his eye, the peg leg, and parrot on his shoulder saying argh all the time, he created his own version of what he thought pirate jack sparrow should be like and i love it

they made the Jack Sparrow character a bit funny/rediculous-not serious/badass enough to be a pirate...that's the only thing I didn't like about those movies...
