That's sort of a biased point of view, but since it's your opinion I guess I could accept that, but...Seeing as you haven't actually STUDIED the man well enough, I can see why you think he has never wrote a tune of his, when he has written for his big band on Mambo Kings album "Mambo Caliente" (nominated for Grammy in 1992 for Best Instrumental Composition written for a Motion Picture or for Television) he has written other tunes as well. Don't... just don't talk about what you don't know ok?

Ok, in relation to Arturo. He was good since he was 16 years old...Was part of the Cuban Jazz Quintet,Orquesta de Musica Moderna and Irakere Band, and went around the world,(before Dizzy G., sought him in 1977).He is very competitive and there is a lot of pressure when you come to U.S.,...that's why he does those things, but he can play anything.Dr. Zaragemca...(Gerry Zaragemca is a world known authority in Afrocuban Percussion and Music).

Julio is one of the best Afro cuban drummer alive i can tell you dont have very much knowledge about drummers. Everyone playing the drums arent dave weckls dennis chambers they have their own names when it comes to great playing.

You know who plays like a machine Arturo Sandoval (tp). If you listen to majority of his solos they practically sound the same. And he is supposed to be one of top virtuoso trumpet players of the last 20 years. He probably is, if weren't for Diz discovering him in Cuba, and for his high range. I haven't personally discovered this but can you tell me if he ever wrote an original tune of his? I don't think he ever has.
