you're right I heard Bjork say in an interview that she had seen many of her friends get into relationships where they had to hide away a part of themselves for that person, but after a while they can't hide this other part of themselves, so occassionally they have to go out and do something destructive to satisfy this aspect of their personality that they don't want their lover to see in order to stop it spilling over into their relationship. this song is not written autobiographically.

ok let me set it straight ...if u do a lil research u learn that this song was not written out of bjorks personal experience but rather the experiences she noticed many of her friends were going through ...so she wasnt depressed she was just empathetic
