hell, you will get much of attention with the new S-class, it just rocks. All the German representatives of the Bundestag drive either the S-Class or the E-Class and it was just so cool driving through Berlin and seeing so many of these beautiful cars! The CLS starts at ~55,000€ while the S-class starts at ~60,000€. If you like big cars, get the GL, which starts at ~67,000€ and if you are really well-heeled, get the SLR which actually is the fastest mercedes of all.

the AMG engine plant got 800 employees (just for the engine-production), so its totally stupid to make fun of mercedes' politics when they say "this engine is handmade" because they really are! 18,000 is absolutely possible with 800 employees.

True...that was the SL, which he bought in around '02 if I'm not mistaken...Merc was still in quite a-lot of trouble at that time. However, he then bought an SLK which he still has, and he never complains about that. Plus, the new C-Class went through 15 million miles of testing from the heat of Namibia to the freezing temperatures of the arctic circle, excluding all the tests conducted at their own test centres...if you want, you can find the videos of its development on this channel, too :)

Not true anymore...between around 1996 and 2005 that was true, but before and after those dates, quality is excellent. The American JD Power Customer Satisfaction Survey shows that Merc has done giant leaps; in the Initial Quality Survey, it came in the top 5, it was awarded the platinum award for one of its factories, the SL and S-Classes are best in class and in the APEAL survey, Merc came in 3rd with BMW and the S-Class was best overall... ;)
