Assuming I can only own one car I would prefer a 335xi over all of them, just more practical. 26mpg and almost 300hp at the wheels.. can't beat that.

I agree on almost everything but I rided and drove both and I think the M3 is more comfortable, plus it won on fifth gear on times and everything but the isf stills a great car!!!!

I don't understand what you're talking about. The M3 has a peak of 400 Nm/295 lb-ft@3900 rpm, the IS-F has a peak of 505 Nm/371 lb-ft at 5200 rpm. Which means that the M3 has just ~222 hp at max. torque (where the car can accelerate best in each gear) and the IS-F has ~374 hp at max. torque. That in combination with the 8-speed transmission translates into better acceleration at high speeds. And the IS-F is just 26 pounds heavier...

OK :-) I just wanted to stress that the IS-F is by no means a joke of a car. It is definitely a serious contender and in the right hands, it can properly compete with M3 or RS4. Of course that the Mercedes does not belong to this comparison, because it is TWICE as expensive as either the IS-F or M3. How can ANYONE compare such different cars? And I know it isn't just you - most magazines and TV shows compare those cars... I think it's simply stupid... In a way or two... :-)
