When i first listened to the song, i thought it was pretty odd too. For the same reason as you, I mean... But then I thought, maybe is just a matter of sound, you know.. Soul and soldier, they sound alike. It's a nice thing, like a, er.. Sound device.

first off, the actual song has that part a bit different. second, they never say soldiers dont got soul, just the other way around, which does not imply what you think it does.

am i the only one that doesn't like the "i got soul, but im not a soldier" part? i just think that it's kinda stupid. its not like that's a common school of thought or anything, that soldiers have a lot of soul. feel free to give me a thumbs down, i was just wondering if i was the only one to think that.
