no, the c55, the clk55, and the slk55 use atmospheric, I thinck it is in order to not to kill the market for the bigger models, cos if the slk had the 456 bhp supercharged 5.5 V8 (later 517bhp and almost 800Nm of torque, in 2007 they have modified it) there will be no use on buying a big and heavy SL55AMG.

Isn't the engine same as the E55, S55 and the other 55 AMG models which is 5.4V8? It isn't 5.5 is it?
