im so sorry, he died in 1990. correction, but this performance is still very heavy in emotion.

this peformance, though not my favorite bernstein interpretation, is so much more dramatic, given the fact he was going to die that same year. to be precise, he died a couple months after this recording.

It's a matter of opinion, generally Karajan is associated more with Beethoven though. Personally I think Beethoven + Karajan = Magic

No, don't get me wrong, this is wonderous stuff, infact, so much so that I'm watching it on youtube. I was referencing A Clockwork Orange, the book by Anthony Burgess. Real horrorshow book, makes me want to give ol' Ludwig van a slooshy.
