this whole highway scene was filmed on route 490 between rochester and batavia in western new york state...also the motel scene with the redneck grunting kid and his wife ....its a riot!

Man, I love John Candy's reactions and eye movements, the look of "Oh man, uh..hope he doesn't figure this out" look. I'm talking about the 3:33 mark, to the 3:56 mark. Great stuff! John is the greatest!

John Candy is a class act. He really brought the character of Del Griffith to life. The world could use more people like him. My favorite movie ever!!
