Break dancing and martial arts have similar movements, and the control of the body is similar. But that is basically it. Capoeira is essentially the only martial art that is similar to breakdancing. Although Capoeira was created about 500 years ago in Brazil, they share very similar movements. I'd just say that breakdancing borrows some moves from martial arts, but isn't based off of it. Oh, and most martia artists would be jealous of the control that man has over his body.
