Hymn To Freedom by Oscar Peterson

I found a young gal (10milesfromnowhere) playing this piece here on MySpace. She did a fine job. I wanted to write her some tips, however, I think another video is more descriptive. I'm reading the same music from the Oscar Peterson transcription book. Although I haven't worked this one up to performance caliber, it's a quick try. Years ago, I recorded a CD called "A Musical Tribute to Oscar Peterson and Fats Waller". Even recorded with Ed Thigpen 3 times. So playing Oscar material is right up my alley. It's from a live recording in Paris, the score is in a transcription book called Oscar Peterson Note for Note

It's amazing that you really play it slowly! in classical, youngsters(and some proffs., too) try to set new speed records for pieces. some manage to bring the point of the piece up...others don't. So I liked that you didn't hurry it. It was very well played
