You assume it's different, which is exactly what Pat Buchanan was complaining about. Perhaps West Virginians think that Hilary would be better able to address their wants and opinions than a black candidate. But automatically West Virginians are labeled as ignorant racists without a second though.And this wasn't paranoid melt down of any sort from Buchanan.

Voting for racial reasons can be different than voting for racist reasons. White politicians don't "normally" deal with black issues, so black people supporting a black candidate has nothing to do with being racist towards the white candidate. So, W.V. voting against Obama just because he's black is very different.

There is a big difference between peoples reasons for voting..Black people support a black candidate because he deals with issues they connect to, not because they don't like they other candidate who is white. W.V. people made it clear that they made their decision not to support Obama because he's black, not beacuse of his politics. If Obama wasn't talking about anything, Blacks wouldn't support him.
