GODSMACK ERNA ALMOST DONE WITH AUTOBIOGRAPHY

Godsmack vocalist Sully Erna is closing out work on his autobiography, which will take readers from Erna's life growing up in Boston right up until the band's succcess. Erna talked about what people could expect from the book. The Godsmack singer said that he hoped his story would be an inspiration to others who weren't born with a silver spoon in their mouth. Their latest effort, Four, debuted on the Billboard 200 album chart last week, and thbeir first single, "Speak," still stands at the top of the Active Rock radio chart.

Agreed. Excellent book. Unfortunately it got lost in the shuffle in the blitz of other rock star autobiographies that came out last year (Nikki Sixx, Slash, Head from Korn). Those books seemed to get much more notoriety and better sales. But Sully's book is still TOP NOTCH!

"The Paths We Choose"... it was great, he doesn't talk about their current progress at all, only how he got FROM there to NOW. He especially illustrates the gang violence he dealt with early as a child and the loons that lived in his neighborhood (one of which shooting a bow and arrow through his home windows and grazing his sister) and a plane crash in the area where he notes that "the area was covered in body parts".He approaches the concept of an autobiography from a different direction.
