Lucky you Brianfranch. Here in the U.S. where oil companies have bought our REPUBLICAN governors and biased our policies so that it is encouraged people to waste energy. We have the biggest refrigerators, cars, houses, etc. It is pathetic. All with the guise of Ego and fear mongering. We need the corruption out of our government. It is embarrassing. Geo thermal, solar, and wind energy are awesome. Tankless are great !!!! That is the convenient truth.

I have installed the tankless water heater. Now my electric co. wants to put me on a different pay scale. which can cause my bill to go up tremendously. It did save 60 bucks on my bill at first for about 2 yrs. Now that the co. knows I have one they want to raise my pay schedule. If I peak to 38 Klw for the month on my bill it can be around 300.00 for the month. NO sure what I can do about it other than the co. want me to go back to water heate with tank. alterdstitches@sc,rr,com

Tankless Gas heaters can draw outside air in through the vent if you are using a fireplace.If its cold,it will freeze the exchanger and crack it,spraying water all over,flooding the basement.Bosch's 10 year warranty does not cover freezing issues.Bosch sucks!!

Could you give us a comparison on the typical installation costs of gas versus electric? I've installed a traditional tank unit before, so I'm thinking that electric would be so much simpler to install since you run wires not pipes and no exhaust.
