Aped991, if you want to stretch the definition of dream as we humans know it, to be the equivalent of a defragmenting program, that's up to you. I for one am not so willing to accomodate such linguistic ventures (i.e. I ain't buyin').

"It's bad to know you won't live...But then again, who dies?"

Why wouldn't a robot, a replicant, dream? Every Computer needs defragment, reconstruction of all the information he have collected so far...It's natural and a compulsory for every system.

Deckard is more human than human.

I never knew that Replicants were able to dream. While he was on the piano, he drifted off. If that was a dream, and if he truly is a replicant as Scott says he is, then at least some replicants can dream.

Deckard may be a Nexus-7, a next-generation replicant who possesses no superhuman strength, but brain implants that complete the human illusion.

dont forget, when deckard is about to fall off the roof of the building, roy catches him and says "kinship" - meaning family. go, watch it again and you'll hear it. this proves he's a replicant for me...
