Beef Recall After Cow Abuse Investigation Developments
Disturbing footage of sick cows being abused by employees. Very disgusting and undeniably inhumane. The U.S. Department of Agriculture on Sunday ordered the recall of 143 million pounds of frozen beef from a California slaughterhouse, the subject of an animal-abuse investigation, that provided meat to school lunch programs.Officials said it was the largest beef recall in the United States, surpassing a 1999 ban of 35 million pounds of ready-to-eat meats. No illnesses have been linked to the newly recalled meat, and officials said the health threat was likely small. The recall will affect beef products dating to Feb. 1, 2006, that came from Chino-based Westland/Hallmark Meat Co., the federal agency said.- MSNBC.com http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/23...

"I am going to be really careful about where i buy my meat from...I hope this abuse stops right now!"I am not trying to be mean, but how you can you hope abuse stops, but still buy meat? By buying meat, you are cutting an animals life short, and that my friend, is cruelty.

No illness that we are being told about. There are a lot of pockets that benefit from this industry and they don't want anyone to know that their products do make people sick and that mad cow disease can hide in your system for years before you get ill, and there is no cure.
