and, if Marcel Duchamp can put a mustache on the mona lisa and call it art, editing a picture of a woman to make her look more beautiful then she already is can be art. too.

i have nothing against real beauty, i prefer real beauty! but that doesn't mean photoshop should be banned from usage in magazines. Also if you now its fake then why would you want to be like it? and for your because guys see it and think its reality argument(haha) any guy that doesn't know that its fake is too stupid for you to worry about what he thinks of you.

True, but I'd rather see natural beauty than fake beauty. Frankly, I'm tired of feeling like I'm ugly because I don't fit today's standards of "beauty." Advertising is only about making more money, and if we continue like this, then our society's women will be plastic.

I know, I use Photoshop for drawing and animating too... it's my preferred medium. I use CS2, but it's because it came with the editing suite I use. I want a graphics tablet so I can be even better! D:My main focus was that in this instance it cannot be compared to art. Retouching someone to that extent is ridiculous.

get informed ok so photoshop should be banned its a childs progam i use when 3d modeling and animating and i can make such a amazing figure thats completely impossible i mean completetly so should that be banned over photoshop lol.

I disagree, you know that there are many, and I mean many other uses of PhotoShop. I use Photoshop CS3 all the time for my drawings. I also use my wacom so that I can draw right into the program. I agree that retouching pictures like this video shows was false advertisement. But Photoshop really does have a place in the artist community.
