Dana Jacobson and Media Double Standards
I asked the question of why ESPN seems to sweep the defamation of Jesus Christ under the rug, but jump on any other form of degradation. I am just trying to bring this subject to the forefront. Please feel free to comment or video respond your opinions.

rpm, first of all Jesus DID walk the earth. Plenty of historical data to back that up. Second of all, limbaugh didnt say anything "racist" except to a liberal fuck like you. Third, the poster was discussing the double standard at espn. Finally, I am going to exercise my "free speech" and call you an asshole.

ESPN doesn't have any credability! lost it a LONG time ago! what she said was distasteful, but the BIG difference between her and rush limbaugh or imus is they said their comment over the airwaves. they have a history or dumb ass comments and this was just one.i think something should've happen, but she aint in the same boat as imus or limbaugh.p.s. you notice she wears the same corney pant suits everyday.BRING BACK SAGE STEELE!!!

Dana Jacobson is jewish, and so are the suits who own ESPN. If a horsefaced catholic anchor had made similar derogatory remarks about jews, they would've been fired immediately-no questions asked.

Now I agree with you that Dana got off easy, (although I would still lick her like she was an ice cream cone) the difference between her and Rush Limp Balls(lol) was that he made his comment on the air. So did Imus. I agree that the I-man got a raw deal but even he admitted that he did it to himself. I'd like to give Dana her punishment between 2 sheets, if you know what I mean!

Although there are other historical mentions of Jesus, not many however, they mostly refer to him as a leader of a cult. The bible is the only reference that says he is the son of a God. Of course the bible says many things that seem quite ludicrous. Anyway, my point is, I'll take atheists over racists any day of the week. Hey, I love the fact that,in this country, you can believe in whatever you choose but remember, this country is also built on freedom of speech.

Let me explain it to you. Jesus does or did exist, whether as a deity or just as a man, he existed. His impact is profound and is boundless of race, gender, culture, etc, it can't be disputed. So Dana's bashing was a lot worse than Rush Limbaugh doing a commentary for ESPN and calling Donovan McNabb overrated and how despite of it the NFL put pressure on him because he was marketed as a great QB due to his race. While I don't agree, ESPN's punishment compared to Jacobsen was disproportionate.

Let me explain it to you about the Rush firing... jesus doesn't exist black people do. Religion has started more wars and killed more people than anything. Reality check!

I understand where you're coming from, and I partly agree. But what gets me the most about this whole thing is really that ESPN refuses to let anybody actually see it. Hell, we can see videos on the internet of people getting blown up by IEDs but ESPN is deathly embarrassed or afraid or whatever to let anybody actually see what she said. She can save the apology, personally, if she said it, obviously some part of her feels that way, and that's fine.

I thought I was the only one. I'm like you. I never though she was really punshed for what she said. if there was a video she would've got the boot.
