DOS Classics: Bureau 13
Some might not consider B13 a classic, since it has a really crap-tastic ending, but I enjoyed it. A good friend of mine introduced me to this game not long after it came out, and even held a copy of it in his store for me to buy. good memories...and a good game for a conspiracy buff like me.If you are into point and click adventure games and you've played all the Lucasarts games, then this is a good one to try out next. It's based on a pnp RPG, though I never knew anyone who played it around here, sadly. Lots of information can be googled about it though, which is something I'd recommend everyone check out on their own when you have the time. This is clearly a game for all of us old fogeys. Looks like adventure gaming is making a come back though...

Yeah, that's what I had heard (concerning the incomplete-ness) You could say that Deus Ex (A popular 1999 PC shooter/RPG) ripped off/borrowed from the game. I loved the atmosphere and style. You don't find the conspiracy/supernatural/modern day theme too often in games. If ever, really.

Bureau 13, the classic DOS game is based on the Bureau 13 RPG Book that has been selling since 1983. (tritacgames) The DOS game was never completed the way the designers wanted. Panranoia Software was about to tank and they wanted this out. Rich Tucholka creator Bureau 13

Nice one again boilerplate. I never really liked adventures apart from Grim Fandango. Keep it up!

Thanks man. I wish I could talk at length with you, since we are sort of from the same generation and have very similar tastes (I also just ran across that Valis/soul Calibur 3 video) Bureau 13 looks a bit bland here in this video, but I've always loved it. It's no day of the tentacle or Syberia, but it's fun.

All the same, I enjoy it when you show me the gems of PC gaming I seriously missed out on.Namely due to the fact that I didn't get a CD-Rom based system until 1997...Damn, I kind of wish I salvaged the sound card for its sweet, sweet FM synthesis.

Man, you are crazy. I laughed so hard that my drink came out of my nose! As for the song, it was some no-name band they got to do it. It was the beggining of the CD era (1995/96) and some developers got carried away, apparently.
