That's a very good question. I always wondered that myself. The only "gloriola" I know of is a printer font. I definitely get the "ape scent" part though! (and kudos to Meryn for having the courage to come out as a FTM transsexual!)

I feel in love with this song/spokenword when a dance class at my high school put on a dance number to it. They pumped up the beats a bit, like 'heart might *burst*' was really emphasized, but other than that it's the same as this.What a great, humourous artist!

I remember listening to this song in high school in the 80s. If I am not mistaken Meryn Cadell is from Eastern Canada.
