http://www.silat-suffian.blogs... us at the link above to know more about Bruneian Martial Arts.------------------------- ------------------ABOUT THE VIDEOSilat Suffian Bela Diri originates from Brunei. The demo u about to see is based on understanding the concepts and mind-set in this art. What makes the movements work are the details that you dont see and doing things that the attacker does not expect you to do.This preview clip uses live blades in thier reflexive training.See how to use a wallet, book, umbrella, cap, walking cane, hitting nerve and pressure points on the arm etc effectively in self defense. This video clip also shows unorthadox knife disarming by gripping the blade. threats against knives and fire arms is also addressed. No flowery or wasted movements, touch and go.APPRECIATIONI would like to express my gratitudes to Rhayn Jooste and Helen Bluemel for thier appearance in this video, patience and constant support as friends.INFORMATIONFor information & enquiries, setting up a study group or classes in your area, instructor courses, for workshops, seminars or private instruction;Contact me at; maul565@hotmail.com-

These are excellent techniques to have especially when unarmed for whatever reason. Even the unorthodox push/pull-90 degree angle disarm can be valuable yet would not use it unless there were no other choices and then only if at a level of proficiency that would allow it to work. I have been teaching similar techniques but never thought of the umbrella stuff and see that as simply and very effective. Thanks for sharing.

All martial art against imbalance, drug inhibited humans, regardless Hsing Yi or even MMA. He hits the hands to break them not block, even if yr drugged up, broken hands cant hold anything. The techniques shown are just options from many of what to do. Its better to know something then not know anything. If it raises your chances even 1% then its worth knowing.

Yeah, but I still would have to agree with gorceram. Just do to my personal experiences with chemically imbalanced, drug inhibited humans trying to rob someone to guarantee their next high(trip). Oh yeah, did I mention that they give no damn for your life, and in many cases their lives neither.

i think you'd be surprised. I've just arrived back from a 5 day intensive course with Maul in italy. It maybe doesn't look like he's doing much, but there's a lot of power behind those strikes, and it REALLY makes u let go
