Hey Cliff. I grew up with Howard and family and play in a band with his son Jay. To my knowledge, it's a big mystery if there's any footage of Howard playing out. If there is any, I've never seen or heard of it and I'm pretty sure we'de have seen it by now. Sure LOVE to have some though if anyone out there knows of any.

cliffworks4321, maybe try writing Don Mock, he is at the Bellveue, WA RMI school. Or maybe even Mrs. Roberts herself who teaches Jazz Drums at the school [RMI]. You of course may try son again at RMI [Roberts Music Institute] in Bellevue WA. Somebody has film you would think. Good Luck! Jay can be kind of a rhymes with stick sometimes, but usually he is a decent guy. Your never going to be on his level haha, but he can be ok sometimes. I would think Jay would have video for sale, but not YT it.

It's a cryin shame there is not one video of the great HR performing live on YouTube;I used to dig him playing at Donte's and The Lighthouse late 60's, early 70's. I wrote to his son but got no reply.

Sweet! I saw Howard Roberts performing in a small music store in Orange County, California one time and he was amazing to watch and listen to. One of the great guitarists for sure. I have absolute respect for his playing.
