Actually the risks are very minimal if it's fresh. I'd never eat sashimi in the U.S. since it's never as fresh as the kind you can get in Japan (unless you're lucky).

i love eating fish but i've never tried raw fish. the risks are bacterias and worms..

anyway from what i've heard. fishes brains are not developed enough to feel pain so yeah... no worries about the poor fish... although i still feel its a little wrong to do that
