Gram Parsons & Emmylou Harris - In My Hour of Darkness
One verse in particular with this song seems to hold true of Gram himself. During his short lifetime, he never got the credit he deserved.Another young man safely strummed hissilver string guitarAnd he played to people everywhereSome say he was a starBut he was just a country boy,his simple songs confessAnd the music he had in him,so very few possess

Yes, I agree. I have neglected to thank you for posting Gram Parsons and Emmylou. Now, my 24-year-old son loves them too.

Nice one. It would be Gram's 62nd birthday this week - 35 years we've lost of his soulful solace.

It's so sad that Gram Parson was taken away from us so soon.I am sure his prodigious talent would have enriched country music if he had lived a few more years.RIP,Gram.

This is the first time that Linda and Emmy were recorded together. You can really hear Linda at 1:55 with the line "He was just a country boy".

I really appreciate your kind words and more importantly, your appreciation for Gram's work. Some of my video images are detailed than others and I'm glad you enjoy them! :o)

Another sterling job harpohat....maybe I'm a bit overboard but I get the feeling I'm watching the work of a great video-representationist...having the life and music of the Gram helps but " nobody does it better"....your videos help others become aquainted with this talented and many faceted songwriter, singer and all around complex guy. Thanks !!!!

Okay, the first 100 or so times I watched this video, I have been neglecting to tell you how good it is. Others have but somehow I only rated it and then hit replay, up to about six times per visit. There ain't enough stars available for this.

you hear people talk about there roots and where they came from, well just so people know it was gram parsons that invented this type of music and if not for his out going ways and hard work we might never of had the bands like the egles, fleetwood mac, countless others if we would of had that type of music at all, so give this guy his due, the rock and rool hall of fame, as well as courntry music award for being the father of it all, as in all in one, bringing the two worlds together, RIP gram.
