I'll assume you're right on the MTV Raps. I don't remember the exact title. I didn't watch it, but did catch rap videos during regular programming. As far as r&b influence, nothing wrong with that but I'm referring to rock with rap styled vocals and sampling. You really did not see it very often until mid-90s.

I always thought she was unbelievable, I still think she's unbelievable, so I made a character based off of Poe, who I call "Unbelievable"... A bad ass queen... But what can I say, I'm a die hard fan, love most of her songs and I thouht "Haunted" was a perfect album, minus about two songs. This happens to be her best song out of everything, when she gets to the "1, 2, 3, 4..." parts, I grow a lot more alive each time I hear it...

Yes, she's Poe, the female songstress...

She is marvelous, I sing this song with her everytime it comes across my 4000+ songs MP3 player... Poe forever!! I have both of her albums too, and all of her tracks with out the skits at the end to ruin playback value...

Is she talking about Palin supporters?

First of all, there was "Yo! MTV Raps" and there was "MTV Jams." They weren't the same show. Second of all, all rock n roll music is derived from R&B, back when Elvis and the rest spun off of the black artists of the 50's. 3rd of all, hip hop is no more prevalent than it was in the 90's. Boy bands and dance music was all based on hip-hop, and there were hip-hop pioneers like Run DMC to Naughty by Nature and so on influencing the radio gods. We're just seeing the same old thing in action.
