yep, i read up on it a few weeks ago, it should be out summer/fall of 2009. from what ive heard the movie is a go but the navy does have the authority to terminate it if the film company does a bad job

Best book i have ever read and i have read them all, think blackhawk down by mark bowden then multiply it 100 times. I also heard they might be making a film about Roberts Ridge the battle for Takur Ghar during Operation Anaconda when Navy seal Neil Roberts fell out of a chinook into the hands of Al queda and the rescue attempts after it which claimed 7 more lives. Another highly recomended book "Roberts Ridge" by Malcom MacPherson.
