Funny you should say that. I found a site called UK Rarities that produces an "unofficial" DVD of this series and others. My copy's on it's way! Other fans should check it out.

Have a look on Ebay Joestunner, bootleg copies of the series are easily available. Let's hope that the series has an official DVD release eventually, as Gary Shail's music deserves some proper recognition. (and royalties, bootlegs are sadly lacking in that department!)

Christ almighty! You really can find anything on the internet! I've waited for 25years to see this show again, and the songs are just as excellent as I remember them. Never could understand why the series wasn't repeated and the Wastrels tracks weren't released. I do have a copy of the Johnny Jarvis novel though - still in good nick a quarter of a century later. Thanks so much for posting all this stuff!

Thank you for popping by Gary. 25 years on and my mates and myself still discuss this series over a few pints, it was cult viewing when we were 17.At least bootlegs of the series are now easily available, although I would rather stick my hand in my pocket and buy an official BBC DVD release, not to mention a soundtrack CD.Looking forward to your new album.

Hiya, the new Album is starting to take shape & i should have something up soon. I've recorded a new version of Demerara & a smashing new take on the Johnny theme.
