It is a kind of Sufi devotional song in which God is being called the male beloved (Saiyyan) while his devotee is being presented as his female lover. This devotee only wants a look and touch of her beloved before her soul leaves the body. She desires nothing other than her beloved and only wants the love of God for which she is ready to leave all the worldly pleasures. For her, the meaning of each and every moment of life is only loving and serving the Almighty.
