Excuse me! That is completely disrespectful of Senator Van de Putte.. You show your pure ignorance of the constituency of Senator Van de Putte... I assure you that she is speaking on behalf of her constituents. As a member of her extended family I am insulted and angered by your crass remarks.

How-dee! Sounds like you understand English. I don't understand much Spanish, mainly because English is the official language in America and I didn't think I would be traveling/living in any country where I needed to learn another language. A representative that gives a speech in any other language than the official language, seems to me, to not be representing ALL (if any) Americans (or Texans as the case may be, since all Texans/Americans are presumed to understand the official language)

To those of you suffering from chronic monolinguilism, I can assure you that the only thing Senator Van de Putte is raising here is a Democratic majority!

Senator Van de Putte represents ME, I'm proud to say, a resident of TX Senate District 26. She has been elected and re-elected by overwhelming majorities that are way above the Hispanic population of her district.

Hmmm. What audience is she addressing? For all I know, she is using treasonous language to raise up a revolution. Can I go to Mexico, and have the representatives there speak English so I can understand them? No? I didn't think so.

Lawd!! Now see even I am mad Madam Speaker Pelosi! Her speech needs to be in English also!!! This sounds like something Senator McCain would pull!! You have a state senator who gives a response and the majority of this country can't even understand what she is saying!!! I'm going to listen to some Tab Benoit!! I can understand him!!!

What freaking country does this Senator PUTA represent? Isn't she supposed to be representing AMERICANS? And who exactly elected her? Mexican citizens? Why is there a need for the State of the Union address to be interpreted into SPANISH? Hispanic citizens are required to know English.. or are they not?
