Tercer movimiento, Ritmico e cavalleresco, del Concierto en D Op.99 de Mario Castelnuovo Tedesco interpretado por el virtuoso peruano Jorge Caballero durante la final del Concurso Luis Sigall 1999 en Chile. Para mala suerte del jurado esta prueba fue retransmitida por television.

Sounds more like a technical study than real music with phantasy and expression. I mean both the guitarist and orchestra.

i like his interpretation. a little bit ahead of the orchestra. i think he was a little annoyed that they were not following. :)

tienes razon, ni que fuera genial ese guitarrita, que se cree, Sabicas, Paco de lucia, que se habra creido, no le llega ni a los talones a estos genios experimentados.

ese concierto es bellisimo.. pero al parecer como que al guitarrista no le gusto la actuacion de la orquesta.. cuando termino.. se paro con una cara.. y es que en ciertas partes los violines desafinaban.. bueno.. con todo y eso el tipo ni un pelon.. y un bueno sonido.. y de paso que se ve que pese a todo disfruta lo que hace..

Jorge plays this concerto very well. I have played it and believe me, it is not easy. He does rush the third movement cadenza, probably because of nerves. I like the way he pushes the tempo, adds energy. Over all a great performance. A five star effort! Jim G.
