why on earth would you wind an LT1 out to 6250? They stop breathing above 6!

I heard you can't buy one unless you own a ZR-1 Corvette,, Did you know the only reason the rev limiter was set at 7,000 is because the accesories can't take no more ie. PS pump and ALT.. kinda makes you wonder what they will turn huh?? I have a LT-1 in my 91 1/2 ton chevy and I have been through 3 PS pumps,My limiter is set at 6,250 and I have the Street&Performance streetrod bracket setup,, uses a K06900 belt same as a Astro van.. Thats what I have to tell em at AutoZone to avoid the hassle!!!

The LT5 did not produce 500hp stock. It was 375hp for 1990-1992. 1993-1995 models produced 405hp

The ZR1's were equiped with a LT5, the LT4 looked like an LT1 with a red intake. I hate people that post comments and don't really know WTF they are talkin about.
FullThrottleFirebird (November 30, 1999 at 12:00 am)
actually only made like 385hp stock

That doesnt look like an LT4... maybe an LT1 with the LT4 hot cam, but not an LT4 engine. I coulda sworn the LT4 looked like the L98 (350 TPI) on steroids with a bunch of runners... the engine thats in the 90's corvette ZR1's
