lol colossus is based on stalkers found in Zangramash in WoW and nydus worms are also present in Hellfire Penisula.

zergling just became more powerful in swarms but hey just as the narrator said they still have a lot of balancing to work on..

take in count that they're expensive and it takes a lot of time to train. it all depends on the player.
