I think he just wanted to show how good and unstoppable Julius Erving was. But the Blazers were definetly the better team in that finals. Thx for uploading!

They never show the times Walton blocked Ervings shots.

You might want to mention is the fact that the BLAZERS WON THE FINALS!!!!

When Doc demanded the ball you could see the look of determination on his face as he weaved around and through Bulls defenders, he saw Gilmore in the lane and challenged him. Imagine Gilmore in Walton's place, I'm sure it was much the same. But, the fact that the man could just decide "ok, u got that one but try and get THIS one!" And the BOOM! lol

I don't know if any more than 5,000 people saw it but my dad took me to see Doc when Philly came to Chicago in the late 70's. My dad used to love to tell this story so I'll do my best..... the Bulls sucked in those days so the crowd was small even for the Doctor. Anyway in the 2nd 1/2 Doc got his shot blocked by Artis Gilmore and the Bulls scored on a fast break. Doc demanded the ball and proceeded to drive through the length of the floor and ended the play with a ferocious dunk over Gilmore!!!!
