As a closing note. This practitioner has very smooth and fluid movements. He obviously has a great control over his body. My only critic is that he should work on his contact points more. He is a bit choppy when it comes to the actual hitting, but the forms are definitely getting there! Overall great work, keep it up and your very inspiring. I think i might just do some super-flexes later tonight just to catch up to you :P

I just have a few things to say. I am not here to argue but to just point stuff out that everyone could agree on. What determines a martial arts greatness is not the art it self, but proven through the practitioner who utilizes his/her skills more efficiently than his/her opponent in combat. I know that a lot of those TV shows are just plain bull and doesn't compare to actual fighting, but one must keep in mind that those are just a competition/sport derivative of a martial science.

Utilizing an art which focuses on, NOT JUST DANCING (YA IDIOTS), striking the body in very tender vital points are not allowed in shows like the UFC. Capoeira was banned in Brazil to be viewed as a legal sport because of the way how lethal some of the techniques could be used in an actual fight. No-one, and I mean no-one in Jujitsu or wrestiling are you ever allowed to hit behind the head near the ear or by the throat. Those points of a fighter's body are open when they are grappling.

For those who rely their responses by comparing this discipline to MMA, Muy Thai, or boxing, based on Discovery's Fight Science show, well think again. Various well respected fighters from around the world even consider that show as extremely biased. They only pick a random number of some fighters from different weight classes and experience. Going back to Capoeira, reason being this is not showed much in Cage matches in the US is because of the bound strict rules.

Dude I only understood your second sentence, what is the message your trying to convey? I really doubt a dancing guy can beat a boxer or MMA fighter. A boxer or muay thai punch is one of the strongest strikes, it lands with more force than a TKD spin kick, a looping haymaker and without gloves it is pretty much the same as having a guy swing a sledgehammer in your face. How is a dancing guy going to deal with that?

Not quite, if they landed a spin kick on any of those guys gg. And they're diverse. No body really uses Capoeira without another background style. The fact is they reflexise and power could beat boxers speed and power, And they MMA, maybe if they were good at Muay Tai and wushu

Your so Stupid, Its a fighting style, Dance because back then when they were taking against The french or w/e. They were held in prison and they had to make it look like they're dancing. Its a fighting style and uses full body energy when u attack. God shoot yourself.
