Amen Foo3112, odelgado78, & toyv1ru5. Would love to go back to the 80s. Was born in '84 so I only remember bits & parts of back then. Christmas commercials in the 80s were probably my favorites.

To think that people will look back at the commercials in the year 2000- 2010 and say "God, I can't believe that it was like that in the 00's."

A good learning tool for cereal exec's is that pop culture rarely lasts as a brand. Ex: Rainbow Brite cereal...is it still around? nah...but fruit loops are. Never build a brand around pop culture.

What ever happened to Bonkers? They advertised like crazy and disappeared...another example that advertising doesn't pay.

No matter how catchy the tootsie roll commercial was, it didn't sway me... I liked snickers and milky way much better. :p Just goes to show you, advertising isn't everything so-long as you've got a good product.

I totally agree with most comments, the 80's seemed much easier. Everyone just wanted to party and have fun. Nothing like today where it seems that everyone just wants to start trouble. Life seemed waaaay easier back then. I would so go back in time if I could...
