Can't say anything other than GREAT!! You probably know more about Salzburg than many locals!

HUGE compliment coming from a Salzburger. THANK YOU! And I can see you know your stuff, too, taking Stiegl's "höchster Stufe" to new heights auf dem Lattengebirge. Cheers!

Very nice job! I'm sure it was a lot of work... All three parts have good background info, and all the pics are taken from the right spots. Bravo, you know Salzurg!Liebe Grüße aus Salzburg ;-)

You're right, good times indeed. But even more so across the border in Berchtesgaden. Check out my Berchtesgaden-Obersalzberg video (part I). You'll see the video still is of a Krampus creature, which is featured from around minute 1:55. If during your visit you missed the Berchtesgaden Krampuslauf, you now have an excuse to return (typically Dec. 5-6).

You didn't mention the best thing about the Christmas market: Krampuslauf. The locals get drunk around Christmas time and run around beating people with their whips. Its great!
