Ultima GTR twin turbo ls2 drag strip runs

Jeff Schwartz's Ultima again, first time at the drag strip with the turbo engine. Previous best with about 400 hp at the wheels is 10.8 at 133.Note that he did not get much traction, and he ran street tires. These were fun runs to see what the car would act like on a strip. Ultima's arent meant for the strip anyways though.Great Lakes Dragaway July 27 2007

oh okay.Its a kit car yeah but the chassis isnt based off of anything and the bodies are popped out of a fiberglass mold. The frames are built on a jig so they arent uneven..

there wasnt any body work done on it.and the transmission has held up going up to 211 mph shifting the same so I'm not sure if I know what youre talking about

actually if you shift to fast in a gtr with too much horsepower you definently will fry your transmission because the engine doesnt have the precision (due to the excess hp) to bring its rpms up fast enough to maintain speed, so actually a slower, steadier shift is better on the stripkinda the opposite of a ford gt-40 or something
