I saw Battles live at South Street Seaport a few months ago. It was one of the most energizing, and cathartic experiences in my life. I enjoyed their performance more than I enjoyed Radiohead at MSG last year. I usually have a hard time listening to noise music aka "organized sound," and music with scarce vox in general, but even in their tunes w/o any vox, they're something very vocal about their densely layered yet gloriously unfolding sound. I'm dying to see them again!
